Usually launching from the Rugby Club below Ludlow's mediaeval and famous castle, this is a popular launchsite for those who love South Shropshire's rivers, valleys, castles and rural landscape.

Heading south on A49 towards Ludlow
1 mile past Bromfield turn left on slip road (B4361) towards Ludlow. After about 1 mile and just before the road turns sharp right up the main street, take an obscure right turn up a narrow road called The Linney (this is just next to the Honda shop on the right). Follow the narrow and tortuous path of The Linney for about a third of a mile, as you descend towards the river the Ludlow Rugby Club entrance is on your right. Beware – rough track!!
Heading north on A49 towards Ludlow
3 miles north of Wooferton go straight on at the roundabout (stay on A49). After another mile, turn left at the next roundabout into Ludlow. Follow road down past the church which is on your right. After another third of a mile turn left under the railway bridge and bear right on the main road over the river bridge. After 200 metres at the T junction with the B4361 turn sharp left towards Ludlow town centre. After approximately 200-300 metres and just before the road turns sharp right up the main street, take an obscure right turn up a narrow road called The Linney (this is just next to the Honda shop on the right).
